Captain Chris Mellor has owned Sensei for 14 years.  He sailed her from San Francisco to New Zealand in 2008.  Over the past six years, he has operated a charter business, showcasing for guests one of the best sailing venues in the world - San Francisco.  In all, he has traveled 10,000 miles on Sensei.

Joining Mellor on the Transpac-Tahiti race will be Neal Holmlund, serving as navigator.  Separately and together, Mellor and Holmlund have competed in local and international regattas in their own boats and others for decades.  Among them: Transpac, Pacific Cup, Banderas Bay Regatta, Whidbey Island Race Week.  Full Crew Farallons, Drakes Bay, Half Moon Bay and the largest West Coast regatta, San Francisco's Rolex Big Boat Series.

Mellor is offering six sailors the opportunity to buy a berth on Sensei and serve as fully participating members of the crew.  Coached to their full potential by the captain and navigator, crew members will drive, trim, stand watch, and discuss strategy.
