You may be relatively new to sailing.  Or you may be an experienced sailor looking to gain offshore racing experience.  Whatever your skill level, we will provide individualized coaching while developing a cohesive team.

Before the race, crew members must complete the US Sailing Safety at Sea Course.  Mellor will provide a $150 credit towards tuition to any crew member who also completes the International Offshore Safety at Sea with Hands-On Training.

Also before the race, there will be daytime practice sails and a required 150-mile sail with the entire crew on board.

As a crew applicant, you will provide:

• liability waivers

• complete medical and physical questionnaires

• evidence of a return plane ticket or deposit

• photo documentation of a valid passport of a minimum of three months from the arrival date to Tahiti
